Objectives

The aim of this project was to design a travel app tailored for modern explorers, backpackers, solo travelers, and experience seekers. The app needed to enable users to plan trips, document personal stories in a diary-style journal, and discover social experiences through shared travel content. The focus was on creating an authentic, user-centered platform that balanced trip planning tools with personal storytelling features.

Findings

During research and initial exploration, several insights were identified:

  • Existing travel apps focused mostly on planning and booking, lacking tools for personal storytelling.
  • Users wanted a simple way to document memories and emotions during their trips.
  • Itineraries needed to be easy to create, edit, and share.
  • Discovery of new destinations and experiences was fragmented across multiple platforms.
  • Users valued a visually engaging, intuitive interface that encouraged frequent interaction.
