Objectives

The aim of this project was to design a fleet management application for handling transportation during large-scale events. The platform enables organizations to manage vehicles, drivers, guest pickups and drop-offs, shift allocation, vehicle inspections, issue reporting, and daily transport operations from a single system.

The project included designing role-based experiences for administrators, fleet managers, vehicle rental companies, drivers, verification teams, and operations staff. Interfaces were created for Web, Tablet, and Mobile applications to support users both in the office and on-site during events.

Findings / Insights

The existing workflow presented several operational challenges:

  • Transportation activities were managed across multiple systems and manual processes.
  • Vehicle assignments and driver scheduling required better coordination.
  • Guest pickup and drop-off tracking lacked a structured workflow.
  • Vehicle inspections before and after shifts were difficult to monitor.
  • Damage and issue reporting was not standardized.
  • Each operational team required different features, but existing interfaces were not role-specific.
  • Dashboards displayed large amounts of information without clear organization.
  • The platform needed consistent UI components across Web, Tablet, and Mobile.
  • Field teams required interfaces that worked efficiently on tablets and mobile devices.
