Objectives
The aim of this project was to redesign the existing Qatar Hiring website with a modern and minimalistic user interface focused primarily on companies and job seekers in Qatar. The redesign aimed to improve usability, simplify the job search experience, create a better advertisement system for featured jobs and companies, make the platform fully responsive across all devices, and conduct UX research to identify usability issues and improve the overall hiring experience.
Findings
The existing Qatar Hiring website had several issues affecting usability and business goals:
- The website had an outdated design that lacked a modern recruitment platform experience.
- The homepage did not clearly highlight featured jobs, employers, or advertisements.
- Job search and filtering options were difficult to use.
- Call-to-action buttons such as Apply Now and Post a Job were not prominent.
- The website was not fully responsive on tablets and mobile devices.
- Navigation made it difficult for users to quickly find relevant jobs.
- The advertisement sections were poorly placed and received low visibility.
- The employer dashboard lacked an intuitive workflow for managing job postings and applicants.
- Inconsistent typography, spacing, and UI components reduced the overall user experience.
