Objectives

Route Atlas was designed to help adventure travelers navigate beyond traditional roads. The goal was to create an offline-first navigation experience that allows users to discover, record, and explore off-road routes with confidence. The app also enables the community to share newly explored trails, making remote destinations more accessible for future travelers.


Findings

During research and analysis, the following points were identified:

  • Reliable navigation without internet access.
  • Easy route recording and community sharing.
  • Alerts when deviating from the planned route.
  • Rich information about viewpoints, trails, campsites, rivers, and mountains.
  • Multiple map views, including satellite, terrain, and night mode.
