Objectives

The project aimed to design a mobile app for eWayGO, a scooter rental service that allows users to travel across the city without owning a vehicle. The app enables users to book scooters with lock and unlock options, access loan-based rentals, make payments, plan routes across different locations, and view battery charge status. The first implementation was planned for Ernakulam city.


Findings

During research and analysis, the following points were identified:

  • Users needed a clear and easy way to book and unlock scooters.
  • Payment options and loan-based rentals were important for flexibility.
  • Real-time scooter availability, location tracking, and battery status were essential.
  • Navigation and onboarding were confusing for first-time users.
  • Business users needed features for bulk or recurring rentals.
  • Inconsistent design elements affected trust and usability.
  • Lack of notifications and guidance reduced engagement.
